Genuine Vision Plus | 360W Max | Wooden Cabinet | LED Display | Bluetooth | USB | AUX | HDMI | FM Radio
The Vision Plus VP2080TS is a 360 W maximum tower speaker system in a handmade wooden cabinet, with two 8-inch subwoofer drivers, two 4-inch midrange drivers and two 1-inch tweeters, plus Bluetooth, USB, AUX, HDMI, FM radio, an LED display and a remote, per Vision Plus's own page. It is the bigger-bass option for a lounge. Available in Kenya from Gadget Market as a genuine, brand-new product, this page is for shoppers searching "Vision Plus VP2080TS Kenya," "Vision Plus 360W tower speaker Nairobi," "Vision Plus tower speaker Kenya," "tower speaker for TV Kenya," or "Bluetooth home theatre speaker Kenya."
This page explains what the VP2080TS offers, what the page leaves out, how to connect it, where to place it, how it compares with the VP2060TS and soundbars, and how to check your unit on delivery. Vision Plus's page lists it under a clearance-sale code, so we confirm stock and what is in the box before you pay.

Specifications come from Vision Plus's own page for the tower speaker 360 W (listed under the code VP2080TS-CLEARANCE). Listings of the same model name can differ, so we confirm the details of the exact unit you order before you pay.
The VP2080TS is the larger of the two Vision Plus tower systems we sell. Its page lists a 360 W maximum output and a driver set that gives each job its own speaker: two 8-inch subwoofer drivers for bass, two 4-inch midrange drivers for voices and instruments, and two 1-inch tweeters for the high notes. The cabinet is handmade wood, and the connection list covers Bluetooth, USB, AUX, HDMI and FM radio, with an LED display and a remote.
What the page does not tell us is whether you receive one tower or a left-and-right pair, whether the drivers listed are per cabinet or for the whole system, the RMS power, the Bluetooth version or the type of HDMI input. We do not guess these. We confirm them with you before you pay.
A tower speaker stands on the floor, so it can hold bigger drivers than a soundbar and move more air. That matters for bass, which is why a tower can sound fuller than a small bar at the same price. Because it stands upright on both sides of the TV or on one side, it also spreads the sound across the room. It suits people who want a stronger, more music-friendly sound than TV speakers or a compact soundbar give, and who have floor space to spare.
Each driver has a job. Woofers or subwoofer drivers are the large cones that reproduce bass. Midrange drivers carry voices and most instruments. Tweeters are the small domes that reproduce high notes such as cymbals and the crispness of speech. Splitting the work between three kinds of driver lets each one do its job better than a single speaker trying to do everything.
Vision Plus's page lists a 360 W maximum output with two 8-inch subwoofer drivers, two 4-inch midrange drivers and two 1-inch tweeters. Eight-inch drivers are large for a home speaker and are the reason a tower can give more bass than a typical soundbar. The 4-inch midrange drivers handle voices, so dialogue stays clear when bass is strong, and the 1-inch tweeters add detail to speech and music. The page does not describe any sound modes or audio formats, so we do not claim Dolby or any other format. We confirm what the unit offers.
Speaker makers quote power in two ways. RMS is the power the system can deliver continuously. Max or peak power is the most it can deliver for a very short burst. Peak figures are always larger and cannot be converted to RMS by a fixed rule, so a bigger number on the box does not by itself mean a louder or better system. Vision Plus's page gives only the 360 W maximum, with no RMS figure. We therefore treat it as a peak figure and judge the system by listening, not by the number. We confirm any RMS rating printed on your unit's label before you pay.
For a living room of about 15 square metres, a tower system of this class fills the space at a comfortable volume, and most people will not use more than half the volume range. In a larger lounge, a shop, a bar or a small hall, the extra output helps. Distortion matters more than raw volume: if the sound starts to buzz at high volume, turn the volume down and the bass down a notch. A clean sound at moderate volume is better than a harsh one at maximum.
In a Nairobi apartment, bass travels through floors and walls more than treble does. If your neighbours are close, keep the bass setting moderate, and put the tower on a rubber pad or mat rather than directly on a hollow floor. Standing the tower in a corner makes bass louder, so if it sounds boomy, pull it a little away from the walls. For evenings, lower the bass rather than the whole volume, because voices stay clear that way.
The VP2080TS lists Bluetooth, USB, AUX and HDMI, plus FM radio, an LED display and a remote, per Vision Plus's page.
Use the HDMI input if your TV's HDMI port is marked ARC, or the AUX input from the TV's headphone or audio output with the right cable. The page lists an HDMI connection but does not say it supports ARC, so we confirm that before you pay. If your TV has only an optical output, tell us, because the page does not list an optical input.
The VP2080TS lists Bluetooth, per Vision Plus's page, so you can play music and YouTube from your phone or tablet. The page does not give the Bluetooth version, so we confirm it. To pair, put the system in Bluetooth mode, open Bluetooth on your phone and choose the speaker from the list. A typical Bluetooth range is about 10 metres in open space, though walls reduce it. Bluetooth adds a small delay, so for video it is better to use a cable connection to keep lips and sound in sync.
Vision Plus's page lists a USB input, which plays music from a flash drive, an AUX input for a wired connection from a phone, a laptop or a TV, and FM radio. We confirm which audio formats the USB input plays, how the FM tuning works and whether an antenna is supplied, because the page does not say.
Stand it upright and not on its side, with its front facing the listening area. Keep the front grille clear of curtains and furniture, and avoid putting it where children or pets can knock it over. Because the cabinet is tall, check that it is stable on its base, and on a carpet put a hard board under it so that it does not tip. At 95 cm tall, the VP2080TS is a substantial tower, so allow enough floor space. The page lists dimensions of 155 x 950 x 195 mm, which suggests a slim base, so make sure it cannot tip.
Keep it away from heat, direct sun and the damp near a kitchen sink. Do not stack items on top of it, and leave space around it for ventilation. If you place a drink or a plant on the cabinet, a spill can ruin the electronics.
With a TV. The most common use. Use the cable connection the unit supports for clear dialogue and strong football sound.
With a phone or tablet. Use Bluetooth for music, YouTube and podcasts. Keep the phone within a few metres for a stable link.
With a laptop. Bluetooth works. For films, use a cable if you can, to avoid lip-sync delay.
With a decoder. Most decoders send sound through HDMI to the TV. Connect the speaker to the TV, and set the decoder's audio to stereo.
With a USB drive. Load MP3 files onto a flash drive and plug it into the USB port. We confirm the file formats the player supports before you pay.
A soundbar is slim and sits under the TV. A tower stands on the floor and takes space but can give more bass and a bigger sound. If you have limited space, a soundbar suits you. If you want more music-style sound and have the floor space, a tower may suit better. These are rules of thumb from our experience of how people use these products, not measured results.
A living room. Stand the tower beside the TV for football, series and music at a comfortable volume.
A family evening. Play music from a phone over Bluetooth while you cook or relax.
A small shop, bar or salon. Run background music from a USB drive or the radio.
A church or small meeting room. Use it for hymns and announcements from a phone or USB drive, subject to the room size.
VP2080TS vs VP2060TS. The VP2060TS page lists 240 W maximum with two 6.5-inch drivers and a 62 cm cabinet. The VP2080TS lists 360 W maximum, 8-inch drivers and a 95 cm cabinet. The larger drivers are the main difference.
VP2080TS vs a soundbar. A soundbar is slimmer. A tower gives bigger bass and fills a larger room.
VP2080TS vs a portable party speaker. A party speaker runs on a battery. A tower uses mains power and suits home.
Music lovers who want bass and a bigger sound at home.
TV viewers wanting strong football sound.
Families with floor space for a tower.
Small shops and bars needing a strong background system.
For a bedroom or small lounge of about 9 to 12 square metres, a tower of this class fills the room easily and you will rarely push the volume. For a living room of 15 to 25 square metres, it is still a good fit, though you may use a higher volume for football or parties. In a large open-plan lounge, a shop or a hall, a single tower can feel stretched. These are rules of thumb from our experience of how people use these products, not measured results, and we are happy to talk through your room.
Vision Plus describes the cabinet as handmade wood. A solid cabinet resists vibration better than thin plastic, so the speaker rings less and the bass sounds tighter. A cabinet is also heavy, so plan for two people to lift it, and lift from the base, not from the front grille. We confirm the weight of your unit, because the page does not list it.
Power cuts and surges are the biggest enemy of home electronics in many Kenyan neighbourhoods. A surge-protected extension is cheap insurance. If the power cuts out while the volume is high, the speaker may come back on at that volume, so turn the volume down before you switch off. Never plug a speaker and a heater, iron or kettle into the same extension.
Standing the tower against the wall. The bass becomes boomy. Leave a gap behind it. Maximum bass. Too much bass hides voices. Start at the middle setting and adjust. Putting a drink on the cabinet. A spill can ruin the electronics. Leaving the TV on its own speakers. Set the TV's output to the external speaker or you will hear nothing from the tower. Using a long thin cable. Use the cable supplied or a good-quality one, and keep it away from power cables to reduce hum.
Distortion is the sound of a speaker being asked to do more than it can. It shows up as buzzing bass, harsh voices or crackling. If you hear it, lower the volume and the bass. Also check the source: a low-quality music file or a phone with its own volume set to maximum can add distortion before the signal even reaches the speaker. Set the phone volume to about three quarters and use the speaker's own volume control for the rest.
Kenya uses 240 V power with Type G (three-pin) plugs. We confirm the power supply of your unit before you pay, because listings differ. Use a surge-protected extension, and unplug the speaker in lightning. Keep liquids away, clean with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth and never spray liquid onto the unit. Do not open the cabinet, because there are no user-serviceable parts and opening it may affect your warranty.
At moderate volume the electricity use is small. Switch the system off at the power point when you leave home for a long time. If you notice a burning smell, smoke or a very hot unit, unplug it at once and contact Customer Relations.
No sound. Check that it is on and on the right input, that the volume is up and not muted, and that the TV's audio output is set to the speaker.
Sound is delayed from the picture. Switch from Bluetooth to a cable connection. Some TVs also have an audio delay setting.
Bluetooth will not pair. Switch Bluetooth off and on on your phone, remove the old pairing for the speaker, and pair again close to it.
The sound buzzes. Lower the volume and the bass, move the tower away from walls and objects, and check cable connections.
Radio is poor. Move the tower or the antenna, if it has one, to improve reception.
The remote does not work. Replace the batteries, and point the remote at the front of the unit.
Specifications above come from the listings named on this page, and speaker models sometimes change power ratings or ports between batches. Before you pay, ask us which inputs your unit has, what the power rating is, whether you receive one cabinet or a pair and what warranty applies. We answer these before payment, so there are no surprises on delivery.
If you can, visit us at USIU-Africa and hear it, because sound is a thing you judge with your ears. Bring your phone and play a song and a film scene you know well. Message us on WhatsApp with a photo of your TV unit and the space beside it and we will suggest where to place it.
