What's new compared with the 7P

According to DJI's own comparison, the Osmo Mobile 8 improves on the 7/7P in these ways:

• Unlimited 360-degree panning, which helps with panoramic shots and tracking subjects as they move around you.
• Apple DockKit support, which lets the gimbal use your iPhone's own camera tracking in many iOS apps.
• Pet tracking with the Multifunctional Module, for cats and dogs.
• Low-angle tilt, so you can capture low shots while holding the gimbal normally.
• A better magnetic clamp for a more secure phone grip.
• A counterweight mounting hole, which helps balance phones with large camera modules.

Reviewers note that the body is otherwise very close to the 7P, with the same size and battery.

Who it's for

iPhone users who want tracking in the apps they already use.

Vloggers and travel creators who want panoramic shots and a built-in tripod.

Pet owners and families filming moving subjects.

Anyone who wants the newest DJI phone gimbal.
